Gail's Story

Gail is an inspirational lady who approaches life with enthusiasm and gusto. An unfortunate stroke forced her early retirement from her satisfying career with the Vancouver Police Force. Gail's immediate goal was to use her new computer to write poetry and short stories and then get them published using the internet.

I am a person in my prime. I don't like learning new things, when the tried and true has always worked for me. Truth be known I have always "feared" computers...and for selfish reasons. "Afraid" I couldn't learn and would look "stupid" I had also convinced myself I didn't need "a new thing" in my life (just to confuse me, since I was already confused enough !)

My lawyer and good friend convinced me life would be a lot easier if I could use the computer to cut down time spent writing and rewriting my short stories and poems. LOGIC prevailed!

She put me in touch with Gianni soon after my new computer arrived. In no time I was set up and having lessons "one-on-one". Trying to put new knowledge into an old head is not easy, but persistence at a personal and reasonable pace has paid off for me.

Five months later and I now feel comfortable using the computer on a daily basis. I can still call Gianni when and if I need him. HIGHLY recommended!  

Guido and Mary-Anne's Story

Guido and Mary-Anne are a modern Gen-X couple who live well above the street noise in a new high-rise, concrete condo. Like many other modern couples they have surrounded themselves with all the modern toys.

I recently purchased a high-end computer to fit our entertainment needs. I felt confident buying this computer as Mary-Anne uses a computer at her work and I was a competent teenage computer user. However we both quickly felt out of our depth and totally intimidated when we tried to use the computer for music downloading, digital photography and video editing. Worse, the new computer became horribly infected and totally frustrating to use. Prior to meeting Gianni we thought all computers behaved this way and we rapidly lost interest in using the computer. One day my brother raved about his computherapist so we decided to try computherapy. I highly recommend computherapy for anyone at any level of computer skill. Our computherapist helped us tap into a new level of energy and regain a sense of fun, creativity and control that we had lost for some time.
